Shipping and Delivery
(Last updated: March 16, 2026)
1. Order preparation and processing
Every order is prepared with the utmost care by Galerie POPINCOURT.
Artworks, antique objects, and collector's items are inspected, packed, and individually protected before shipment.
The average preparation time is 2 to 5 business days, unless otherwise specified in the product description (e.g., custom framing or restoration).
The Buyer receives a confirmation email once the order is validated, followed by a notification containing the tracking number once it has been dispatched.
2. Shipping methods
Shipments are handled by professional carriers suited to the nature of the artworks:
- Specialized carriers (Chronopost, DHL, UPS, etc.) for small items, bulky or fragile shipments,
- Approved art transporters for certain exceptional pieces (paintings, sculptures, framed items under glass, etc.).
The shipping method is indicated at the time of ordering or communicated by email upon dispatch.
3. Delivery zones and lead times
Galerie POPINCOURT delivers to Metropolitan France and European Union countries.
For other destinations (Switzerland, United Kingdom, international), a specific request may be made by email to:
contact@galerie-popincourt.com
Indicative delivery times are:
- Metropolitan France: 2 to 7 business days,
- European Union: 5 to 10 business days,
- International: depending on the carrier and customs procedures.
These deadlines are indicative and may vary depending on transport, customs, or availability conditions.
4. Delivery costs
Delivery costs are calculated automatically at the time of order, based on the weight and volume of the parcel, the destination, and the transport method.
Certain products may benefit from free shipping or a fixed fee, as specified on the item sheet or during checkout.
5. Packaging and transport insurance
Each artwork is carefully protected using professional materials (bubble wrap, reinforcements, double packaging, cardboard or wooden crates).
Shipments include insurance covering loss or damage during transport, up to the actual delivery to the recipient.
6. Receipt of parcels and verification
The Buyer is required to check the condition of the parcel upon delivery, before signing the delivery note.
In the event of damage, a damaged parcel, or missing product:
- they must formulate any precise and justified reservations on the delivery slip,
- and inform Galerie POPINCOURT by email within a maximum period of seventy-two (72) hours following receipt.
Photos of the parcel and the damaged product may be requested to open a claim file with the carrier.
7. Delay or absence of delivery
In the event of a shipping delay, an information message is sent to the Buyer.
If delivery has not occurred within a reasonable time after the indicative date, the Buyer may request cancellation of the sale and a full refund, in accordance with articles L.216-2 to L.216-4 of the Consumer Code.
8. Hand-delivered pickup by appointment (upon specific request)
In addition to standard delivery options, a delivery by appointment may be offered under the following conditions.
The option for onsite pickup is not available during the online checkout process, and no access to the storage facility is permitted.
However, the Buyer may make a specific request by email to galeriepopincourt@gmail.com, prior to placing or validating their order, in order to organize a hand-delivery of the artwork by appointment.
The exact location for handing over the Product is agreed upon with Galerie POPINCOURT when scheduling the appointment, depending on the nature of the object, its fragility, and logistical conditions.
Before any appointment is confirmed, identity verification is required. The Buyer (or their proxy) must send a copy of a valid official identity document (national identity card, passport, or driver's license) by email.
This verification is exclusively intended to confirm that the recipient of the delivery is indeed the order holder. The transmitted documents are processed in accordance with personal data protection regulations: they are used strictly for this purpose and are neither retained nor reused after the artwork has been handed over.
Delivery by appointment is offered free of charge within a radius of twenty-five (25) kilometers around Lille.
When delivery requires the Seller to travel beyond this perimeter, a travel expense contribution may be charged to the Buyer. The amount of this contribution is communicated beforehand, before any appointment confirmation, and remains subject to the Buyer's express agreement.
No artwork may be handed over without prior verification of the recipient's identity and written confirmation from Galerie POPINCOURT.
